Due to celebrities like Kim Kardashian bringing contouring into the spotlight, there are tons of palettes on the market designed to help you achieve that look. The Kat Von D Shade + Light Contour Palette is exclusive to Sephora and features three shades for contouring and three for highlighting. It is intended to make facial features appear sharper and more defined, with a natural and authentic finish.
If you've used the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit, you may actually like this one a lot better. You get so much product for the price and many users have found it easier to apply and blend. Though customers are in love with this palette, they have issues with the fact that the Shade + Light Contour Palette is too big to travel with.
I want to start off by saying, I'm not a huge fan of contouring. I prefer a softer, more natural look. I usually stick to concealer, a little under-eye highlighter and a little bronze blush. That being said, I have serious respect for those girls who can paint their face like a pro, so I gave the Kat Von D Palette a try. If you don't have tons of practice with contouring, you'll be very happy to learn that it's so easy to use.
If contouring is your thing, the Kat Von D Shade + Light Contour Palette is definitely the palette for you. It's so pigmented, but still so soft that it's perfect for everyday wear or a night out. I used my BeautyBlender with mine, which I would obviously highly recommend. This is on a whole other level, ladies.
The Kat Von D Shade + Light Contour Palette retails at Sephora for $46.
